Jim "JC" Campbell

A painting of Jim Campbell, who passed away last August. Jim was an Air-Force vet, a musician, a father, a grandfather and a friend. Miss you tons Jim.

Film Noir

I have to apologize. I am a shitty photographer. None of the paintings that I photograph come out looking like they do in real life. Anyways...I used warm grays in this painting which reminded me of the old classic film noir genre.

The Frankenstein Monster toned sketch

Here's another charcoal sketch. This time it's one of my earliest pop cultural memories...the Frankenstein Monster as portrayed by the great Boris Karloff.

Science Officer Spock

One of my all time favorite fictional characters has to be Mr. Spock as portrayed by Leonard Nimoy.
Calm, cool and curious. Fascinating.

Lincoln or Lewis?

Yup. It's Daniel Day Lewis as President Lincoln. Let's see if he wins an Academy award Sunday night.

Shamen

I used an older camera to take the pix of the paintings...sorry about the crappy reproduction. The reference for these were taken by the talented Joey L.

The Gift

This is an illustration for a children's book I've had in the back of my mind for a while. If I actually go for it I'll have to change the Cookie Monster to some generic stuffed toy...so that's a bummer. Cookie Monster has always been my favorite muppet.

Kate Middleton Portrait

I should have posted this yesterday, since it was Kate Middleton's Birthday. How come she's not a Princess? She's married to a Prince, no? The Duchess of Cambridge. Hmmm. That's a cool title...not as cool as the Earl of Sandwhich.
